Weston Bering

Weston Bering joined JAMaROO Kids as a full-time Marin-based teacher and educator with a background in film, creative writing, visual art, music, and yoga.

From an early age, Weston immersed himself in the arts, developing a passion for film, music, writing, and visual expression. His creative journey has allowed him to explore many different forms of storytelling and self-expression, from filmmaking and music creation to writing and visual art. Alongside the arts, Weston also developed a passion for yoga and mindful movement, which continues to influence his approach to creativity and teaching.

Weston has hands-on experience working with children through an arts nonprofit in Houston, where he helped kids explore creativity through art and music. He later facilitated Arts and Music workshops at the Esalen Institute in Big Sur, experiences that deeply shaped his love for guiding others through creative exploration and mindful play. His professional experience also includes interning with a film and production company and working as a freelance video producer for music videos and social media. Today, Weston enjoys bringing a playful mix of creativity, movement, imagination, and self-expression into his teaching at JAMaROO Kids.

When Weston isn’t teaching, he can usually be found playing guitar, making art and music, exploring nature, practicing yoga, or dreaming up his next creative project. He believes some of the best learning happens through curiosity, play, and a little bit of silliness, and he loves creating spaces where kids feel comfortable being themselves, trying new things, and having fun!

When Weston was asked what he loves about teaching for JAMaROO Kids and working with children, he shared, “I love getting to see children feel joy and excitement while learning fun, new, and important ways to interact with the world.”
