Timothy Marl

Tim Marl joined JAMaROO Kids the summer of 2025 as a full-time teacher with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education and many years of experience in the performing arts! His background working with young children spans over 10 years and includes being a Head Start teacher, preschool teacher and a Parks and Rec leader. 

Tim’s experience in the performing arts includes performing, teaching, directing and being a choreographer! As a child, Tim enjoyed theater, performing in musicals and plays from elementary school through college. He started training in dance at the age of 18, specifically in hip hop and jazz funk. He has been a performer and dance choreographer for 15 years. His work includes directing a dance company in Portland, coaching a hip hop high school dance team, and teaching competitive dance for elementary and high school dance teams. 

His hobbies include teaching and taking dance classes. He also films for his personal YouTube channel, works on filming or creating dances, and watches movies for inspiration! He also enjoys reading books and exploring the city. 

When asked what he loves about working at JAMaROO Kids, he said “seeing the joy that kids have when moving, and being able to build a creative environment for children to explore”.
