Sarah Cambra
Sarah Cambra joined JAMaROO Kids in the summer of 2026 as a full-time Marin-based teacher! In three years, Sarah earned her B.A. in Psychology and Theatre Arts from Sonoma State University, where she developed an even deeper appreciation for creativity, connection, and the role the arts can play in a child’s growth.
From an early age, Sarah immersed herself in dance and the performing arts. Whether she was dancing, performing onstage, or exploring a new character, she loved how the arts gave her the freedom to express herself and connect with others. Now, she gets to share that same sense of joy and discovery with little ones through dance, yoga, art, and music at JAMaROO Kids.
Sarah has hands-on experience working with children as a youth dance teacher in Santa Rosa, Adventist Rideout Healthy Kids advocate and traveling performer in Sutter County, and camp counselor in various parts of California. She really enjoys the spontaneity and imagination that come with working with young children. Sarah’s goal as a teacher is to create an environment where kids feel comfortable being silly, using their imaginations, and encouraged to try something unfamiliar, which she claims is a recipe for growth! Most of all, she feels incredibly lucky to help introduce children to creative expression during such an important and exciting stage of their lives.
When Sarah isn’t teaching with JAMaROO, she can often be found leading dance classes at the dance academy, listening to musical theatre, attending line dance lessons, and exploring nature (and capturing it with her camera)! She is always looking for new ways to express herself, connect with the world, and bring a little more light and love to communities around her.
When Sarah was asked what she loves about teaching for JAMaROO Kids and working with children, she shared: “In a world where children are taught to follow directions, sit still, and do things the “right” way, I feel so honored to be the one providing them a safe space to be goofy, curious, and completely themselves. Not only do I get to witness their progressive development, but I get to watch that little sparkle in each child’s personality grow brighter each time we sing hello and goodbye!”
Fun Facts: Sarah enjoys facilitating dance classes, musical theatre, and improvisation.
