Lindsey Sorensen
Lindsey Sorensen joined JAMaROO Kids in Spring of 2025 as a full-time Peninsula-based enrichment teacher! Her formal education includes a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from UC Davis; Compassion Cultivation Training from CCARE at Stanford; and a variety of early childhood education and mental health classes.
Her experience working with young children spans over 10 years and includes being a Girl Scout camp leader, childcare worker, paraeducator, special needs nanny, ABA & behavioral coach, executive functioning coach, and therapeutic behavioral coach.
Lindsey always considered herself a creative person and has enjoyed being involved in theater and multiple dance classes as a child including ballet, tap, and hip hop. As she grew older, she continued to dance and began to explore modern and interpretive dance. In college, Lindsey discovered yoga and attended classes regularly. After college, Lindsey also began seeking out meditation. Her meditation practice has included attending silent meditation retreats in the Santa Cruz Mountains.
When Lindsey isn’t working for JAMaROO Kids you can find her hanging out with the people she loves like her family and friends! She enjoys various sports and games including board games and cards. She also enjoys baking, crafting, hiking, Zumba, and practicing yoga and meditation.
When Lindsey was asked what she loves about teaching for JAMaROO Kids and working with children, she responded with, “making them smile, laugh and feel confident about themselves. I also love watching them grow and bloom into their beautifully unique selves.”
Fun Lindsey Facts: She studied abroad in college and enjoyed traveling throughout Europe.
