Gretchen Dew
Gretchen Dew joined JAMaROO Kids in the fall of 2025 as a Peninsula based teacher. A graduate of the University of Southern California and University of San Francisco, she brings over a decade of experience in teaching, program development, and educational leadership to the team. She studied International and Latin American studies at USF and a Master’s of Education TESOL at USC.
Gretchen’s extensive background in early childhood education includes roles as a Mentor Pre-K Teacher, a Lead Preschool Teacher, and a Center Director. She is passionate about curriculum design and mentoring fellow educators to help build inclusive and supportive learning environments for all children.
As a lifelong learner herself, Gretchen believes in the power of creative expression. She has been an artist, a dancer, and a lover of music since her childhood. Dabbling in photography, candle making, paper making, embroidery, painting, pottery, sewing, and more. When she isn’t teaching, she enjoys exploring the Bay Area’s beautiful parks, reading, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
When Gretchen was asked what she loves about teaching for JAMaROO Kids, she responded with, “I am passionate about creating equitable and joyful learning experiences. JAMaROO allows me to combine my love for education and community engagement, helping children build confidence and discover a lifelong love of learning through music and movement.”
Fun Gretchen Facts: Gretchen has traveled to over 30 different countries! She has a 6 year old daughter Yunhee! She is an avid fan of Liverpool FC!
