Jessica Uher

Jessica began choreographing for musical theatre and teaching theatre for children when she was in high school, and has worked with Peninsula Youth Theatre and Swivel Arts. She also spent 4 summers working with Camp Galileo, making up songs, wearing tutus, and encouraging kids to dream big and make marvelous mistakes.

A lifelong performer and dancer, Jessica has trained in ballet, jazz, tap, and contemporary dance. Her local performance highlights include 3 years and 3 different roles with San Francisco’s The Speakeasy, an immersive 1920’s theatrical event.

In her free time, you can find Jessica cooking vegan dinners (with extra garlic, of course), rhinestoning costumes, and spending time outside in all of the Bay Area’s gorgeous parks. Jessica loves to move her body as much as possible, and she’s always looking forward to the next pilates, yoga, or dance class!

When asked what she loves about teaching for JAMaROO Kids and working with children, Jessica said “I absolutely love creating an environment that offers equal opportunities for learning and play, and I’m inspired by my job on a daily basis! Each child in every JAMaROO class teaches me something new about joy, honesty, connection, and self-expression, and I’m grateful to soak it all in.”

Fun Jessica Facts: Jessica and her partner have “adopted” 4 neighborhood stray cats named Chica, Leche, Keepo, and Ebony, whom they feed on a daily basis.
