Naomi Rose
Naomi Rose joined JAMaROO Kids at the beginning of 2024 as a full-time teacher with a B.A. in Sociology from UC Berkeley and 3.5 years of experience working with children of all ages. Her passion for dance and the arts began when she was just a young girl. She is trained in various styles of dance and is thrilled to bring her love of dance to her classes at JAMaROO.
Throughout college, Naomi gained experience working with children as a volunteer in various elementary school classrooms. After graduating, Naomi worked with the nonprofit Girls Inc., providing literacy instruction and enrichment activities to under-resourced schools in Oakland. She especially loved fostering creativity with her students and engaging their imaginations through dance and art.
Naomi has been dancing most of her life and has 8 years of formal ballet training and 4 years of competitive cheerleading. Naomi rediscovered her love for ballet in a college dance class. As an adult, Naomi has started exploring more genres of dance and is enjoying learning new forms of movement. She currently enjoys taking heels classes at Full Out and Redwall Studios.
Naomi spends her free time hiking with her tiny chihuahua, Pinky. She loves to cook new vegan recipes and read young adult novels, especially ones about witches.
When we asked Naomi what she loves about JAMaROO Kids, she said, “I love being able to spread joy to so many children each day. I hope to inspire a lifelong love of movement and appreciation for our bodies. Through teaching dance and movement to children, I hope to help children build confidence, encourage their individuality, and create a safe space for them to explore.“
