JAMaROO Kids Music

Music is like magic to children. It elicits joy and happiness and even calms them in times of sadness. Children develop humor through songs, stretch memorizing power, and awaken a love for poetry and imagery. Music provides children with a creative outlet for self-expression. Research repeatedly shows that children who are actively involved in music:

do better in reading and math when they start school

are better able to focus and control their bodies

play better with others, and have higher self-esteem

JAMaROO Kids music class is designed to help children discover the joy of music. During classes children will sing traditional children’s songs and learn many new songs. Children will have the opportunity to play with a variety of simple instruments, interact with puppets, use rhythm sticks, bean bags, streamers, and much more. Many activities in this class will promote cognitive development through the use of numbers, colors, shapes, and letters. The songs and props have been chosen for these classes to help increase the children’s vocabulary and understanding of the world around them. Like all classes offered by JAMaROO Kids, this class is modified to be developmentally appropriate. Therefore classes will vary depending on the age of the students and the number of students in the class.
