She performed with the College of Marin Dance Company from 1999-2005 and competed as a cheerleader for four years. Over the past 10 years health and fitness has become a large part of Jamaica’s life she hopes to expose children to the joy of exercise and fitness through dance, creative movement, and yoga.

Music and dance go hand in hand; Jamaica grew up singing in a choir and performing in musicals. She studied drama for 7 years and has been singing for the Glide Ensemble since 1998.

Jamaica became interested in other cultures through studying dance and music and began to travel. She has visited over 20 different countries across the globe. When she travels she makes seeing cultural dance and music performances a priority. Jamaica is always creating new and exciting ways to integrate her travel experiences into JAMaROO Kids curriculum. She uses a variety of world music and often picks up teaching materials while abroad. Jamaica thinks globally, but acts locally, striving to make this world a better place by enriching the life’s of children.
